Pets, Kids and Noise
Pets

Dogs are not permitted to be kept on the premises. The terms of the owner's lease have been relaxed a little so that other small domestic animals are permitted on condition that they are housed within your flat and not in any external cage, hutch or whatever. No animal must be left to roam freely with the exception of cats kept as pets. Visitors' dogs must be kept on leads and not allowed to defecate anywhere in the grounds.
Please ensure you seek permission of the Freeholder via the Managing Agent prior to acquiring any pets. The Freeholder has the right to decline any request should it not be considered suitable, and also the right to revoke permission should your keeping of a pet become a nuisance to any one of your neighbours.
Note that foxes are regular visitors to the garden. These bring their own set of potential dangers. You must not encourage them to return by giving them food or by not placing rubbish bags containing waste in the bin shed. These can be ripped apart very easily causing considerable mess.
Children

Noise

Children are very welcome to Augustus Court. Please make sure that they are suitably supervised at all times when outside your flat, especially the younger ones. Augustus Road can get very busy and it is preferable on safety grounds for children to use the garden for playing rather than at the front of the building around the car park, although it would be appreciated by all residents with flats facing the rear garden if noisy activities were not too numerous or at unsociable hours. Please make a note about usage of the garden by looking here and consider the other public open spaces nearby.
Please remember that you are sharing the environment of Augustus Court with everyone else living or visiting there. You are asked to be mindful of your neighbours when you have guests, especially if you are having a party in your flat or making use of the garden. What may be acceptable to you may not be so for your neighbours, especially if you are in a flat on the upper levels. You are asked to minimise all noise and loud conversations after 11pm at night, especially on Sunday to Thursday evenings. Please have the courtesy to forewarn your neighbours of any pre-planned events that may generate some considerable noise on Friday or Saturday evenings, where this may extend to no later than 1am.
